Medical Missions

Recently, some patients who availed of free operations in a medical mission asked why their PhilHealth accounts were used to avail rebates for the free operation. The Gift of Life office was asked to explain this matter and the answer was that the rebates were used to cover the costs of conducting the medical mission (supplies for the operating room, etc) and some were given to the volunteer doctors to help them recover their cost of coming over to Bohol to conduct the missions.
