I think nhelsierra is not a Boholano, being happy to what’s happening here in Bohol, concerning the Seismic Survey and posting in tangalog. Or this is just a wrong post.
Boholanos are fighting fiercely on a wrong, losing battle. Much like a brave mariner fighting off a tentacle of an enormous squid. NorAsian is chartered, I think, by the Department of Energy who should have settled the social and environmental aspects of the activity at first prior to the survey. Instead the DOE just made a workaround, securing a certification for non-coverage, which DENR (I think), miraculously (more appropriate word please) issued. If we want to straighten this situation, we should have been confronting DOE and DENR.
We are very happy now that we know what happen Bohol now. Kc marening na namin and mga bago balita sa tungkol sa bohol ngayon. So we are thankful in technologies now, We also give thank to management of dyrd a.m. to sir peter and his staff. that they can reach this idea to bring bohol to the whole word. All the Boholono in the world know about what happen in our beloved province now.
to sir danny reyes my old friend when i was there in tagbilaran before , and to Nong Batchoi Alba we always listen your program even i was in my office here in subic bay, zambales, daghan gud me taga bohol dire sa Subic Bay Free Port ng trabaho. maayong adlaw mga Sano ug malipayong pagsaulog sa Sandugo Fisteval.
i believe whatever inconvenience there are, are temporary. if our fishermen, resort owners and stakeholders would look at the big picture, there will be benefits for us, income and employment. big, big, big factors, especially for a growing province like bohol. i just hope that we all look at what is good for us all and not what is good for ourselves. but of course, i agree with kunot, that we still need to be vigilant especially NorAsian Energy Ltd.
If i got it correctly, the Bohol RTC did not issue an injunction or at least a TRO against NorAsian Energy Ltd. Rightly so, the seismic survey must proceed because no amount of public protest can take the place of an injunction. Given the fact that the survey is commissioned by the national government, its unthinkable how our local fishermen could effectively block such project.
I think the temporary trouble that the survey brings is worth the possibility that oil or other related products can be found in commercial quantities. If the are really have oil or gas reserves, then Bohol will generate additional income that can be used for further development of the province. However, we should be vigilant against permanent damage to our natural resources.
